A grand ring from simple beginnings

One of our customers brought in a 14k heirloom ring with a large imitation gemstone.
The customer also had 1/2 carat total weight diamond earrings and a 1 carat loose diamond.
They wanted to make a men's diamond ring from what they had.
We matched 2 additional diamonds to those from the earrings to use in the existing mounting.

We removed the fake stone and are cutting a new 14k white gold top plate.

The new 14k white gold top plate is being soldered into place.

The diamonds are positioned to mark their placement in the newly refurbished mounting.

Holes have been drilled and the diamonds are being fitted into the top plate.
Beeswax is used to hold gemstones and diamonds during the setting process.

With the diamonds in place, we now add a custom hand lining to the ring.

The finished ring sparkles with the brilliance of the diamonds and the new hand lined finish.
The bead an bright cut setting  has a detail that is unmatched by other setting techniques.
This 2 carat total diamond weight gent's ring was later appraised at just over $9,000.00.
Now our customer has a REAL heirloom to pass down.

From an inheritance, a new heirloom is created.

Here is the 14k yellow gold casting from a wax that was carved by our craftsmen.

The diamonds to make this piece came from several heirloom pieces the customer inherited.

In the center is a large dark blue-black sapphire the customer had also inherited.
The finished piece has over 3.5 carats of diamonds and a sapphire that is over 5 carats.
